Designs have been submitted for planning approval on behalf of Denebridge Ltd for the development of a bespoke aquatics facility in Newton Aycliffe.

The “Fish Tank” will provide circa 540sqm of new leisure, education and business hub facilities in the heart of Newton Aycliffe’s established Business Park. Primarily designed to get children active and support local family related businesses, the fully serviced venue comprises of activity rooms, office accommodation, coffee shop, a hydrotherapy swimming pool, suitable for babies from birth, as well as integrated external landscaping.
Senior Architect John Carr commented,
“We are delighted to have worked closely with our clients, Paul and Penny Gordon, over the last six months to help them realise their personal vision. The submission of the planning application represents a huge and significant step forward in their journey. In terms of the Architecture, this one really is about People!”
Having already gained invaluable and positive pre-application advice from the Local authority, Planning approval is anticipated by the end of the year. In the interim, the project is being tendered with prospective contractors, with a view to starting construction works early in 2018. The new facility is anticipated being completed by Autumn 2018.
