Following the official opening of The Gateshead District Energy Centre by Energy Minister Jess Norman, we are delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted in the Best Large Commercial Project category at this years LABC North Awards.

Technical Director Graeme Kirkley said;

“This is fantastic news! The new £8M facility is the first of its kind and scale in the region, which aims to reduce carbon emissions and provide low cost electricity and heat through an underground district heat network. Working with Balfour Beatty, CK21 and Desco, we are also delighted to have fully delivered the project to BIM Level 2 Standards.”
