Following an extensive design and construction process, we are delighted to see the state of the art Jarrow Focus project now fully complete and open to customers.
The community centre has been transformed through innovative design and now provides a multi-function facility comprising of a redesigned gym, sports hall, dance studios, enlarged theatre space and a new library, with all features accompanied by the new entrance and external façade.
These additions and modifications to the facilities at Jarrow Focus have created a thriving social and wellbeing hub for the local community and Mayor of South Tyneside, Councillor Ken Stephenson and deputy leader Alan Kerr have both praised the final result saying,
“Jarrow Focus features the latest equipment and technology, making it not only a wonderful modern community hub for the 21st century, but a welcome addition to our wider leisure and community offer”.
We recognise the value of community facilities and how they form an integral part of societies. We are therefore immensely proud of the transformation of Jarrow Hub which now not only serves its purpose as a leisure complex, but also stands as a place in which communities can integrate, connect and experience enjoyment through the range of activities on offer.
